Little Mary Sunshine is a musical that parodies old-fashioned operettas and musicals. The book, music, and lyrics are by Rick Besoyan. The original Off-Broadway production premiered November 18, 1959 at the Orpheum Theatre in New York City's East Village. Staying in the neighborhood, it moved to the Player's Theatre on June 21, 1961, then, finally, to the Cherry Lane Theatre on March 21, 1962. Closing was Sept. 2, 1962. Combined run was 1,143 performances. It was seen briefly in a West End production in 1962 and has become a popular show for amateur and semi-professional groups in the United States and elsewhere.

Afflicted with lifelong insomnia and aimlessly wandering her New York City townhouse one night, she sees something horrific in the building across the street. But nobody can find any evidence that what she saw actually happened. Her tender husband John and best friend Blanche try to convince Elaine that she is letting her nerves get the best of her, but the eccentric neighbor Appleby and testy German maid Helga start to hint that what is going on may not be what it seems. Lucille Fletcher’s Night Watch is equal parts film noir and psychological thriller with a gripping lead role for a strong female actor.

The play is part of a trilogy along with Antigone and Oedipus at Colonus.

The King of the Ice Cream Mountain

It's an exciting combat between wicked Zeno (who tries to get control of all the ice cream in the world) and Princess Happy and a delightful penguin named Muffles (who is turned into a wild dragon). Children will revel in the fun and excitement, and with interest in ice cream raised to a fever pitch of intensity, you may wish to follow with ice cream straight from the mountain's mine.

The Pale Pink Dragon

he kingdom of Caladar is in an uproar. Princess Pinkie has disappeared, a dragon lurks in the forest, and it is presumed that he has devoured the princess. Gallant Prince Hal, his bumbling squire and the King, the pompous chamberlain and Pinkie's fierce white cat set out to destroy the dragon. The dragon, however, turns out to be pale pink and lovely - and Hal cannot kill it. The spell is broken, and the dragon becomes Pinkie again! The play can be done as a full scale musical complete with a dozen charming songs, or may be performed as a straight play. Picnics are for the Merry In a Moment! In a Moment! Beauty and the Beast is a musical, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and a book by Linda Woolverton. Adapted from Walt Disney Pictures' animated film Beauty and the Beast – which in turn had been based on the fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast" by French author Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont Beauty and the Beast tells the story of an unkind prince who has been magically transformed into an unsightly creature as punishment for his selfish ways. To revert into his true human form, the Beast must learn to love a bright, beautiful young lady who he has imprisoned in his enchanted castle and earn her love in return before it is too late.

The Gazebo is a 1958 American black comedy play about a married couple who are being blackmailed. Witten by Alec Coppel and directed by George Marshall. Helen Rose was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design, Black-and-White.
Mystery writer and director Elliott Nash is blackmailed by Dan Shelby over nude photographs of his wife Nell, taken when she was 18 years old. Elliott does not inform Nell, the star of a Broadway musical, but works feverishly to pay off the increasing demands.

The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the 1949 memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss in 1938, the musical tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as governess to a large family while she decides whether to become a nun. She falls in love with the children, and eventually their widowed father, Captain von Trapp. He is ordered to accept a commission in the German Navy, but he opposes the Nazis. He and Maria decide on a plan to flee Austria with the children. Many songs from the musical have become standards, including "Do-Re-Mi", "My Favorite Things", "Edelweiss", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", and the title song "The Sound of Music".
